Blackout. Teehee.
So, there was a blackout on Friday. Not like anyone that was in the area didn’t know, anyway. It was surprising because I haven’t seen a blackout in so long (last time I remember…. well, I only remember one during seventh grade. Harharhar.), so I just looked around to see that I wasn’t imagining things. Apparently I wasn’t, and everyone was wondering, “Oh, what happened?” The super-worst part about it was that… we were in Keyboarding class. What are we going to do on a blackout? Type mindlessly without a goal to a blank screen in front of us? Yeah, totally. The good part about it was that we actually got something to do that wasn’t staring at a black screen and hoping that it will light up again. We got to do riddles (Yay, riddles!). Being a fan of riddles myself (doesn’t mean I’m very good at riddles though), I had fun doodling creative answers to all of them. That fun stopped when the imaginary bell rang and people charged outside, though. However, sixth period (English Honors) was fun on its own, too. There was still a black out, and we were supposed to be watching Romeo and Juliet (aww..), so all we did during class was discuss random stuff. The discussions (first about gay marriage, the second about abortion) turned really intense after a while, but I was still working on the riddles, so that’s okay. After the discussions, people started playing Hangman until the imaginary bell rang again, and people left to go home, thinking that the blackout would stay for a while longer. Power came back almost RIGHT after school, though. Either way, many sports were canceled. The end.
